Midthunder Casting Joins Will To Win Movie Production Team
Will To Win movie producers Russ Kirkpatrick and Andy Kinslow are thrilled to welcome Midthunder Casting to the project. An established titan in the film and television industry, Angelique Midthunder, Stacey Rice and the Midthunder team have an impressive track record collaborating with actors and directors on various film and TV projects, including Reservation Dogs (FX), American Primeval (Netflix),The Curse (A24, Paramount+) and others.
While casting for every type of character, Midthunder has developed a special niche casting Indigenous roles. Recognizing the value of creative freedom, the team believes in preserving authenticity and integrity in cultural casting.
Set in the present day, The Will To Win movie is about A Native American high school girl who overcomes turmoil in her life including the death of her parents, living with her traditional Native American grandmother and the loss of her softball team due to budget shortfalls. Through her vivid imagination Sky enlists the help of Will Rogers himself, who helps her face life’s obstacles and encourages her to try out for the boys' baseball team. The movie is the first project of its kind to be endorsed by the Will Rogers family.
The Midthunder team, working from Los Angeles, and Santa Fe, is joined by Executive Producer Jhane Myers, also from Santa Fe. Mark Heidelberger is producing in the development phase from Los Angeles, while Kirkpatrick & Kinslow are producing from Tulsa.
